I have dealt with sleeping issues for many years. It seemed like the only time I could get a decent sleep was by taking sleeping pills. However, my body had become immune to the pills, so I felt hopeless. It took my forever to fall asleep, and I would wake up many times each night. I would lay in bed, frustrated that I’m not able to fall back asleep. This resulted in only getting around 3-5 hours of sleep each night. I ended up reading a book (Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker) which talked about scientific methods to getting natural sleep. My doctor has been suggesting I do a “sleep study” for insomnia for almost a year but I never wanted to because it sounded like a huge hassle.
